My daughter has just got a 13.1 welsh x hes an old horse 19 or 20 yrs of age but he acts like a youngster. Hes gentle and an absolutely wonderful ride we are just concerned we have put him in grazing hes in a field of about 16 horses theres about 60 acres of land we thought this would be big enough and were told not to feed him anything else as that is plenty at the moment but yesterday when he was being groomed we could here his tummy rumbling.Im seriously thinking of moving him to a smaller field with maybe 1 or 2 other horses
what would you do/advise?

My horse's gut is always making noises. Normally when he has had too much to eat. Trust me in his case he does not need more food. As a rule welsh's are hardy and should survive on very little. I would also worry far more about lami. It's far more serious then him losing a bit of condition. If he does start losing weight then move him to more grass.
