You go on holiday? Who looks after your horses? I am lucky because my Mum and my siter are around and we never all go away at the same time. But what do you all do and does it put you off going away?

i'm at uni at the moment and my neighbours have him on loan. but before i went to uni when i went on holiday my neighbours looked after him they do a brilliant job and i totally trust them

Well, the dogs go to friends and we return the favour. The chickens and horses are checked by friends, who we have also returned the favour to, ours are all low maintenance though, the horses live out, and we top up the chickens food and water before we go. Can't see us ever having a 'proper' holiday again though, the most we manage is a night away occasionally.

We are all diy so someone is always helpful so they can ask a favour back. The girls are all 14 so it helps giving them some pocket money with horsey mum overseeing. We bought a house in spain the year before I bought my horse and now we cant go because of horse commitments and work.So if anyone wants a week in Spain at a good price I would be happy to keep it occupied. Horse riding down the road as well through orange and lemon groves.I love it out there wish I could go more often and take my horse with me.

Erm, well, randomly my idea of a holiday is taking time off work and actually getting to see/ride my horse properly so it's never really cropped up as being an issue.

Now I'm thinking about it, I can't actually remember the last time I had what you'd call a 'proper' holiday abroad...
