The last two photos were taken 3 weeks after being shod. I hate seeing him like this but have tried two farriers and they come back the same with the only excuse of "it's the weather".. I'm at my wits end, so if anyone can give me a reason why they should look like this then I'd be grateful to know

Also, if anyone is in North Devon - recommend me a farrier, please.

To be fair to the farriers, the weather can have a huge impact on foot quality.
I am not a farrier but your horses hoof/pastern axis is broken and the feet are not under the limbs in any of the photographs.

His heels have run under. That stance is quite similar to the heel pain stance where they stand more on the toe. Nothing to do with weather (probably just on hoof quality but not the whole foot changing) and looks like his hinds have twisted out so he brings it under himself.

New farrier.

I had the farrier out last week to see what he said and his answer was "sorry, they shouldn't look like they do"... Hmmm.

He has pulled them back a lot but still no heel and he does not like walking down hills - will go sideways, backwards etc to avoid going down but other times will go down ok.

Other than getting a new farrier, can anyone give me any advice on what I should do, and how long it'll take to get back to "normal"?

Why dont you ask around ie a good equine place or equine veterinary college etc to recommend a good remedial farrier?

He is 100% sound, this has all started since I moved yards and had to find a different farrier. His hooves have gradually gone downhill from there.

After fininshing working him he will stand with his hooves very much underneith him.

The only time he seems in discomfort is going downhill - will dish a bit as well when going down. I'm going to get his saddle checked (was last done 4 months ago) to make sure that is ok so I can eliminate possibilities.
