A new livery (friend) youngster is put in beside your own youngster and then attaches itself to your youngster and is very dependant on your horse ?

This evening I went to bring missy into the front of the stable and tie her up whilst I mucked out , Friends horse then decides to try and climb over the stable door

.... At this point missy has untied herself and is wondering down the lane as unconcerned as the flowers in may .... whilst Im trying to get livery horse back in over the stable door and keep it back from coming out again Im franticly calling to missy , Im in a catch 22 situation where I dont know which horse to go to , Surprisingly missy comes wondering in again and I get hold of her and put her back into her stable , whilst said youngster settles back down again .

I cant take missy out without this other horse climbing over the stable door

This has bugged me all evening and Ive felt really bad when owners came out and I explained what had happened , I just had a feeling that they thought I was to blame for their horse bricking itself

I'd offer to help while they try to detach their horse from yours (gradually seperating for longer periods each day while both owners are in attendance), if they don't see the problem or can't be bothered to deal with it, then i'm afraid it's not your problem and you shouldn't feel guilty. Explain the problem to your YO and maybe you could move your horse to another stable on yard further away from the problem youngster? If not, you just gotta carry on with your horse as normal and hope that either the youngster settles down (especially if only just moved into yard) or the other owners realise that there is a problem that needs dealing with.

This particular youngster has only been there for 3 days now , so its still findings its feet so to speak .

Just feel really guilty about it getting injured but at the same time, not going after my own horse who was going down the lane heading towards a very busy road , So in a way I feel angry at myself for not looking out for my own horse
