What do you do with your 20 year olds?

Hi all,

My TB turns 20 at Christmas and I just wondered what everyone does with their 20 year olds?

My horse is in full work and does a little bit of everything, including mounted games!

I'd be interested to hear what yours are up to!

not mine but i know two ponies ho are in thier 20s doing same work as ex-racers and you woud never belive that they were in thier 20s
 
Haven't got oldies anymore but when my PBA was in her 20's we regularly had riding holidays, we used to ride the South Downs Way, then everyn year we just did bits of it also the North Downs Link she was ridden until she was PTS after an accident. My last Arab mare was also working right up to the end. Every horse is different when they don't enjoy you stop.
 
When my oldie was 20 we were doing exactly what we'd always done! :)

Showing, bit of dressage (horribly unsuccessfully!), schooling, hacking, pleaure rides and some shorter endurance.

Now he's 35 we just hack . :)
 
Well , my mare had a foal last year when she was 20! and is now back in work, hacking out and schooling and will hopefully back out SJ and eventing once she is fully up and fit again and maybe a bit of hunting funds permitting.xx
 
Hi, I have a 20 year old TBx mare :)
She's off work at the moment but usually I hack her out once a week, do walks inhand and a bit of flatwork/lunging :) Sometimes I jump but I'm more fixated on hacking now!!
 
Hacking, bit of showing.....pop the odd few jumps. Planning a pleasure ride with him.

He's 22.....some days I feel he is slowing down a bit ....other days he jiggs non-stop and pulls my arms out and I think ..... perhaps not:D
