What do you do...

I kept the rug that my lovely horse wore for years (she was very careful of her rugs) - and can still smell her on it 10 years later. After a while I gave the rest to a horse charity - it was nice to think of them helping a less fortunate horse.

So sorry for your loss.

:(my girl inherited my old boys, but now I am having to face the fact that she is bulking up and they are all a bit short. I have kept them all for about 4 years and now have to face the selling off and rebuying senario

Really sorry for your loss...hugs to you..

I ahve owned and lost many horse and ponies over the years...and it doesn't get any easier....

What I do if I can.....is....if they fit.....I re home them to other horses on the yard....and I have to say....it brings a smile to my face when I see the rug and the wonderful old memories it brings back.....and the new ones it is creating....

I recently lost my 'soul pony'...woa...tears threatening....sorry.....he didn't make it to his 10th birthday.....and he has a brand new rug that he didn't get to wear. I will sell this and his old but good condition rugs on ebay as these are small and will never fit anything I have ...or will have.....and I will use the money to put towards something nice....to say that he bought it....

To be honest...if I kept all the rugs from previous beasts....I could probably have stocked most of the UK:)

Take your time......and do what you feel is right for you......

Best wishes
Bryndu
