5th December vet dug out a corn. Left it two days padded out, then came to assess again and she trotted up still lame. Freeze blocked/nerve blocked(can't remember the name!) trotted up sound, so dug out some more and put bigger bandage on to last 10days. 10 days came and passed trotted up sound. Vet said if problem is on-going then she will need x-rays.

Her shoe was put back on two days later and she had another 10 days box rest and needed to be walked out for 20 minutes everyday - didn't happen, ended up double barrelling my poor dad and galloping across the yard. Turned out after 8 days dosed up on sedalin and she was fine. Next day went a bit mental, but not dangerous. I know the treatment was a bit excessive but I wanted the best, so therefore followed my vets advice as I've never experienced corns/problem feet before.
I got back on her once she had been out for 2 weeks. I built up her work load gradually and she was back to normal for the first week, sound in walk, trot & canter. However today after 2 weeks she wasn't 100% in trot, she felt the same as before. Did lots of lateral exercises in walk to get her supple to see if she was just stiff, but she was still the same after.
So my questions
Does it sound like the corn came back? Will it have even gone yet? What do you think of this? Would you carry on riding in a sand school just at a walk?
-Vet is coming out on the 23rd for her jabs, and have asked to follow up on the corn too
- Farrier due the 24th
Thank you!
