Trying to sort out a first aid kit, and was planning on buying one already made but decided not too - so what do you have in your first aid kit? :)

Usual stuff, just enough to deal with everyday scrapes and to see me through until the Vet gets here:

Thermometer
Scissors
Stethoscope
Syringes
Needles
Depocillin
Syringable bute
Sedative
Betadine
Eye wash
Fulcin
Zinc Oxide
SWAT
Saline solution
Cling film
Cotton wool
Neoprene wraps
Vet wrap
Quilted wraps
Nappy liners
Nappies
Twitch
Gum chain

That's it.

Aw - Thanks :)

Most of the above plus
Torch (have been thinking about adding head torches too as never seem to have enough light when dealing with hooves in the dark and rain on a winters night!)
carpet tape (great for holding on poultice)
Bute
Bandages (set of stable, and couple of elastic tail type)

also have a few human things like plasters, pain killers as somehow I am hurt too!

carpet tape (great for holding on poultice)

 How could I forget to list that, oh yes, the ever present DUCT TAPE:D I think that rates as normal stuff that I presume everyone keeps to hand.

I have all sorts of torches too but the workshop is in the horse barn so I don't exactly have to run around looking for stuff. Coffee machine, landline phone, bolt cutters, wire cutters, ropes etc etc the only thing I don't have is a gun, but I have neighbours that do and anyone of them would come down to deal with a horse for me if my Vet was 3 hours away and the situation warranted it.
