What do you look for when you are choosing where to compete?

Good ground conditions (i.e. good surface indoors) and good going if outside. Rings, warm up with plenty of space and well organised so you are not waiting around all day.

Yes, I pretty much have a full bar in my lorry.......But it's nice to know I can still get a drink if the lorry alcohol runs out

Pretty much the same as Sarah Jane.
However, having the likes of Addington on your doorstep with facilities to die for but with waiting around times which make our current train system look good, Id rather hang around than have extra fuel costs.

Good surfaces
Decent warmup
Not too far to drive
Welcoming atmosphere
Clean toilets (Love Hunters for this reason)
Decent food (i.e. not greasy chips if at all possible)

I can't be too fussy! Will go to most places up to 2 1/2 hours away for unaff. Up to 4 or 5 for aff. But its ok I don't really do much aff. stuff, distances being one of the reasons.

Close by

Good surfaces

Friendly Organisers - i'd used to drive for an hour and a half to Bluegate, down wriggly lanes, as the organisers were so lovely. This rather than a centre, which shall remain nameless, that was 15mins away, where they were rude. But then I HATE rudeness.

Tests in a quiet arena...but not too bothered.

Easy to drive to ie motorway access, good surfaces and room for working in, toilets clean and close to lorry park and decent bacon sandwiches!

Bromyard is tops at the moment but a bit far

definatly a good surface. I went to one dressage competition at the beginning of the year and looked as though I'd been hunting!
Good food is always a good thing, as is lots of room to work in.
I dont mind travelling the distance if its going to be worth it.

Good well maintained and as spooky free warmup and competition arenas as possible...

....decent hot coffee...

....lots of cakes...and/or decent bacon baguettes...

....and no flippin' llamas!!!!!
