Can anyone enlighten me as to why?!
 

Definitely a 'piss off and leave me alone' face. Possibly it was cross because the mare wouldn't 'let down' and allow the foal to drink?

Raggs used to get really cross when Arwen wouldn't let her feed!

I've never really seen a foal of that age turn it's back end on you or pull faces at you in that manner, even if you were a bit in it's face with the camera lol
To me it looked like it had missed out on some very early handling; and I don't like the title of the film............. mad foal? It's dismissive and derogatory.
 
I hope it gets taught some manners before it grows much bigger. I must admit, none of my foals have ever acted like that but it did look mighty pi**ed off.
 
Agree on the 'mad foal' comment - doesn't help things. Poor animal will probably be branded as such for life.

Perhaps, as you say it had had no human handling to this point and was being defensive (in a very aggressive way!.?..)

Exactly! Foals like to feel 'safe' when they're feeding. People too close are literally frightening it away from what it wants most. Great way to turn a nice foal into a horse who will sue threatening behaviour later in life.

Well, I dont know much about a foal's normal behaviour but I agree with Maestro (and others) that it seemed scared of the camera that kept chasing it round the box. Poor thing.

I didnt think it looked very old either so probably wasnt used to being handled. It possibly wont like any human now!

(I wonder whether by Mad they meant angry as i think the girl has an American accent.)
 
what a ridaculeous (sp) video poor bloody foal, its no different to a young tired child in that situation the poor foal was prob tired wanted a drink and too go to sleep not be pestered by a stupid camera man
