Asking because CCj and I were kept in stitches at a very low key Pony Club ODE last weekend.
We were already sitting on our £5 canvas type chairs complete with drink holders, with our small folding table in front of us when a brand new silver Range Rover plus brand new latest -model Equitrek pulled up next door.
The husband jumped out and proceeded to erect an enormous domed marquee, added a carpet under it, then loads of chairs, table etc.
By this time we were nosing at the equitrek which looked great but would be impossible to reverse in our tiny twisty lanes. It was a super version with stove/sink/fridge, plenty of seating even a proper loo!
A van pulled up and out comes a tv, this is installed in the tent and then the van is moved to form a windbreak/private area.
All we could hear was the car racing like a load of angry wasps all afternoon.
We felt like the poor relations next to them! Oh and the horse was nice but very ordinary, we expected a flash Tb at least with that lot!!!
What comforts do you take to sit outside with, are we the norm or should we be sitting with more comfort?

Well, I know Toffs is long in the back, but it wouldn't be fair for all 3 of you to sit on her at once, would it

a chair that folds up vertically and you can carry it over your shoulder if you need to, again about a fiver I think. There's also a small tarpaulin in the boot to shake behind one of the ponies if they won't load, that usually gets brought out to sit on as well. (I got a tick in a very intimate place once, and don't ever want to get one there again lol)

Same here also 3 little ones with a bear face, tiger face and mouse face just so we look really silly, just for my little ones.

LOL! Well Mother takes a shooting stick, but I like to think she'll be more comfortable when we get the lorry

I normally just use a rug, lol.

Oh I remember last year at the Royal I went with my friend who took her stallions, so we camped over. There we were in her wooden B reg horsebox, we were sat on a plastic £10 picnic table when this HUGE horsebox pulled up next to us. It made friends box look like a mini, lol. Out came its sides, a massive awning complete with wooden furniture which had burgandy cushions matching the box!!!

Oh and out came the 6 VERY nice show horses

with burgandy boots/rugs. We wanted to sink away into the shadows

Usually sit on the ramp of the box. If we are super organised I might take a rug! No posh stuff for us too much hassle and never enough time to use the damn stuff anyway!

£5 tesco's fold up chairs - best thing i ever bought, beats sitting on the ramps or wet grass!

A canvas chair too!! Anyway it's not what you arrive in it's what comes out the back. Money can't buy everything. Although it can make you look good.

If i remember I will take a chairs (fold up ones like HHs) when someone else is with me but if Im on my own I dont bother, just sit in the landy. As I prefer going on my own (get too stressed when people are talking to me beforehand! LOL) I dont take a chair! Or a picnic table, tv etc!

well we don't stretch as far as your posh neighbours! I have my folding mounting steps, the living area doorway, ramp of lorry and finally got round to adding 2 deckchairs at the weekend, that's about as posh as we get
grin.gif

If we have any sitting-about time, the fold-up canvas ones with the drink-holders. (Two for a tenner.) Sometimes we use the ramp (if the box is parked 'the other way round' and if it's yakky weather inside the lorry living and we watch through the cut-through!

Chairs are loosely coordinated with the lorry - both are 'blue'

That's as posh as we get.
