What do you think about riding with an ipod?

I do if schooling but not out on the road.

However, i ride with a girl that is deaf so although she obviously doesn't have music as a distraction, she can't hear all the dangers others have mentioned.

Why on earth would anyone want to ride whilst listening to music?

I love to take in the countryside, yap to my horse and myself... I just don't get it?

I don't understand the need to have music playing constantly in your head. What is wrong with listening to the birds, and having some peace and quiet.

I know I am abnormal in this respect...

yay to both lol, i find i relax to the rythym of hoofbeats better than any music.
altho now i do have an urge to gallop to the black beauty theme
I think it is dangerous on the roads, we get loads of joggers and cyclists all plugged in and totally unaware of anything around them, drives me mad The only time i plug myself in is when i'm poo picking, the horses love to listen to me singing along
