Sorry guys had to share this really!!! Mr Moose and I have been working really hard with my friend who has come to stay from America. she is GP dressage rider who I went to school with. Moose as some of you know what classed as unrideable when I got him he kept throwing people off ect. I have worked really hard with him on the ground as well as ridden work. It has taken him a year and 1/2 to stand at the mounting block for me to get on!! It will be 2 years in november that i have had my pretty donkey. I have manged to get him to a show and we even manged to get a pink ribbon.
He is coming on leaps and bounds now and we are starting to up the anti a bit with him. he is a grandson to Amino and has a jump to die for so plan is to be out jumping soon!!

Here is a little video of us having a lesson with Liz on Saturday excuse her language she was obviously in a shock that we got it right hehehehe I am very proud of my donkey.
I hope you all think he looks well any coments will be much appreciated. I know he drops behind the contact a bit but he is super lazy grrrr

Aww well done x He seems a bit lazy as you said and his transitions could be sharper but he looks lovely x You should be really pleased x Isnt it nice when you can see the change in a horse, i have one which has had its last 5 riders off and just getting him out competing too, all 5 riders came to watch me competing a few weeks ago and they were gobsmacked that i even took him but were even more wow'd when he was third. Great achievement x Well done, looks like your hard work has paid off :O) x

My mare's grandsire is Animo, is this who you meant? x Look forwards to your update xx

looks a nice horse, I would say a bit sluggish and is sitting behind the contact and not really using his back end to push forwards and is not tracking up or striding out as a result. I would want him quicker through transitions and sharper of the leg and working more forwards into the bit and not over bent behind it. I didnt see him before but by the sounds of it he has improved lots so well done!

Don't think I've seen your earlier posts but you seem to have come a long way. You already know what needs working on but given where you started that won't be far off. And lovely looking horse too. Only tiny cc (& sorry if you know it already or your sleeves exaggerate it) would be to keep your elbows at your side & upper arm straight. I worked for someone who called them the hinges for the gates yours mentions. And fwiw I used to ride a mare who didn't have any of the prior issues yours had, just lazy & used the same evasions & I used to do exactly the same with my elbows on her, not deliberately, but in a subconscious effort to prevent it so please don't think its a nit-picking criticism.

Thank you guys for your comments. He is soo lazy though his transitions at the moment and I will go and work on them tonight again!! I have to admit we had worked for a hour the night before so was a bit more lazy than normal! Thank you little legs for your comment about my elbows hummmm naughty elbows!!!!
He has come a long way he was s compete little (big actually as he is 17hh) S H ! T when i got him.
