Iwas sold hooch at 13wks and was told he was a lakeland terria they showed us his dad but i didnt take much notice as i went there to buy a spanial but felt sorry for this little fella so took him instead!!!!!!!!!! But everyone we meet out walking says he looks just like a patterdale im not really familia with either breeds but have tried to research the lakeland but he is nothing like them from the pics iv seen.

From what Patterdales I've known, yes he looks very like one but then again I don't know what Lakeland terriers look like! Lol

I would say he is a Patterdale, Lakelands have a more boxy head.

He's almost identical to my parents dog - he is a rescued patterdale. Same shaped head and coat type.

He's a Patterdale. I've got a Lakleland - they're like mini Airedales. Not sure they come in black either, but I may be wrong.

He definitely looks like a typical patterdale, or black fell terrier (Same difference!!)

is very different to a working lakeland, a working type lakey, like this:

We breed patterdales and we have 2 black ones, they produced 4 black boys but the 3 girls in the last litter that are the colour of lakeland terriers, so they could be considered either a patterdale or a lakeland type. To be honest most patterdales will have some lakeland blood in their breeding anyway.
