This is my sister new pony that she has brought on to work with and eventually sell on. Wondered what people think of him and also what way forward people think is best for him.

He is a 3 year old registered new forest around 12.2hh, we decided to plait him up and see what he looked like and having done so are now not sure if he is best to be kept traditional (like he should be as a new forest) or if he would do better plaited and as a show/hunter pony? we as a rule have natives so not used to smart plaited ponies but think it really suits him.

thoughts please (excuse the terrible plaiting and white bands it was just a spur of the moment thing to see how he looked plaited)

Dont really know about the way forward with him .. but what a handsome little lad :) I think he looks better plaited too, but he might look nicer unplaited if you were to let his mane grow out a bit

Ps .. Love the greys mane in the background :p

No idea with what to do later with him - but LOVE the look of him! He's a gorgeous little lad! I think grow his mane a little bit though, and he'd look lovely, and you'd probably still be able to plait him then :) xx

I think he makes a better New Forest than a SHP, he is very nice and well put together but his head is a New Forest head not a quality SHP head. If he turns out to jump than he might do well as a plaited and/or M&M WHP.
