What do you think of him?

Nice-ish looking horse, needs a bit of work but probably has some issue (my guess is that 'has been seen to crib' means cribs an awful lot!) because of that price.

The first thing that pops into my mind is why such a low price,

Same here. Seems nice, and worth a look but the price does seem strangley low and my first question would be why.

Agree with DiablosGold. "Has been seen to crib" could mean that he's at it all the time. He could also have other issues which haven't been mentioned. Other than that though he does look quite a nice horse.

Probably sold due to "loss of use" on someone's insurance, e.g. tendon injury which prevents competition use or something.

Wouldnt the horse be freezemarked LOU on the shoulder if this was the case??

I actually don't think he is overly cheap TBH, I think he is well priced! If you are looking for a project he may well be worth a call and a chat

if he cribs and they have dropped the price then he must do some serious cribbing! As weezy says worth a look if you are looking for a project. It may be that with different owners and in a different environment he may reduce his cribbing - I have had horses do this before.
That said he would have to be a absolutely stunning horse in the flesh before I would consider taking on another cribber...

Agree on this- it's a very low price if his only downfall is that he cribs.
I paid over £3000 for a horse that cribs occasionally but is worth his weight in gold in every other respect- and his price was reduced due to his cribbing). Cribbing is a nuisance but wouldn't put me off the right horse- Although it would have to be an exceptional beastie.

ETS: Mine is sporadic and fairly easily managed

would agree... def worth a look. then you can ask more questions, see what he's really like, and decide from there.

re the LOU thing... our huntsman hunts twice a week on a LOU horse which had previously had a tendon problem. Yeah so its not competition and no he doesn't insure Wils, but that doesn't mean that he is 'useless'. the horse was got fit really slowly and kept hard fit all season (even when it meant 3x 1hour sessions on the horse walker!) and he's never been better.

I agree with all of the above - looks a nice sort. I would also add that he could possible not enjoy jumping - just reading between the lines and his expression over the jump.

Like the chestnut, worth a look.
I really liked the look of the second one until one poster said about the fromt legs perhaps being arthritic. It may just be the photos, but there does appear to be a bit of a strange movement in the front legs. Still worth a look though.

I will probably get torn apart for this comment but here goes......
In the 1st picture, he doesn't look very comfortable with the contact, and what on earth is the rider doing? She looks like she is hanging on his mouth in a desperate atempt to get him to work on the bit. he seems to be doing this is all of the pictures
I am sorry but i would steer clear
