What do you think of his weight?

The day he arrived.

And today. Can you see any difference? Is he a good weight? bad weight?

And because today was the first time he cantered WITHOUT a rider on board

Because he's pretty

So what do you think weight wise? And what about generally? Do you like him?

maybe a smidge more to come off but that may well come off naturally this winter?

Very very slightly over, much better than when he arrived though! As Bex said though, it'll come off over winter and you're best to have something in the bank at this time of year

Looks just perfect for his breed - people often forget that cobs (assuming he is a coblet!) arent meant to show or feel ribs

MochaDun - Thanks, he is a tad pretty

but you can have him if you want. He's mental! lol.

WandaMare - I only got him about 2 months ago. At his old yard he was stabled during the day (with hay) and out at night on absolutely rubbish grass (basically mud) so not entirely sure how he was so fat

Since I've had him he's been out in big fields with good grass 24/7 so in theory should be fatter?! But he is now ridden most days whereas before it was only once or twice a week. Maybe that's how he lost it?

Yeah I think he looks great - what a pretty boy ! I wouldn't want him to drop much more.

Wish I could loose that much weight in 2 weeks (don't much fancy a grass diet tho!)

wow he looks so much better, almost perfect, if not 1% overweight
as others have said coming into winter you want a little bit of extra coverage as this will soon drop off come spring

I haven't seen any previous posts related to your horse, but I think he looks great. Could do with some more muscle, but that is all related to work anyway.
