Hi, just bought a black seat saver from the robinsons catalouge, what do you think of them? are they suitable for hacking, sj and hunting?? Do they stay on well????? as mine only has an elastic strap that goes under from pommel to cantle and side flaps.

They stay on fine. I personally dont use them although I did used to have one on my exercise racing saddle. My only advise is do not ride in the rain with one on. It absorbs the rain & yuk, yuk,yuk very wet knickers!!!

I use one all the time and love it. I hack, school and jump in it and it never moves. Its sooo comfy! Second joss's comment though - don't use when its p***ing down!!

I have a Roma seat saver and I LOVE it. It keeps my bum nice and warm when it is quite nippy out. Its just so comfortable.. I love it

Ditto what others have said though, don't ride in it in the rain!

heather moffets are great.
but don't use the cheapy ones like i did for a jumping lesson it had just one elastic strap holding it on (and id had it a while)
my horse ducked out going through a grid so i went headfirst into the jump the seat saver slipped off to the side. I'm sure i would've stayed on if it hadn't slipped my trainer agreed.
stick with heather moffets if you have to use one

I got a Robinsons one (well on me second now coz 1st wore out) they are so comfy when hacking, they also protect the saddle a bit.

Yep defo don't ride with it in the rain
