I am so tempted to get the new wintec 2000

Had a look at what's 'new' about them and it seems all they've done is stick fancy blocks on to make them look posh.

I was hoping they would have changed the tree and panel shape they fit more (any!) horses but it doesn't say if they have or not. So sadly they seem to still have the same crap banana tree and sloped panels they did before. Bummer, since I find them comfy to ride in but they don't fit any of my orses

The have completely changed the tree and panels in the new saddles and I've had mine fitted to my cobby type who before could not have one. I've got the 2000 and absoultely love it, it is so much more comfortable than my old GP (a thorowgood) as the seat has a narrower twist and there is much more knee blocks for jumping!!! And it looks nicer!!

Really? Now that's interesting. I've not seen the new ones in the flesh (everywhere round here stock the older type, at clearance prices) but as the new blub on them doesn't mention a change in tree or panels, I assumed they hadn't done anything with them. You though they might have mentioned it, since it's a huge bugbear of many people!

What have they done with the tree? And don't suppose you have pictures of the saddle from behind, showing the panels? Wonder if they've changed the WIDE cob saddle too?

I do really like the wintecs to ride in but haven't even considered looking at one as there's no way they're going to fit my lot.

I agree with kallibear, there is no mention to actually how the tree or panel differ to the old model. If they had changed them i would have thought they would give a bit more information.
Overall i find the info quite vague. The research bit on cair is absolutely cr*p! They did thermography on a cair saddle and a flocked saddle and said how much better cair was at distributing weight. But they compared two totally different saddles! How did they know it was the cair then and not the saddle fit? The panels are a different shape for a start.

I have to say i am still not convinced, there is no decent information on the fit.
