Bailer twine does the same thing! My mum bought some, but they haven't been out of the packet all year as they were too complicated for her...

I dont' trust bailer twine to snap so I have these.

Only thing is they do really restrict leg movement which can make lateral work hard etc but then I find they don't restrict enough to stop my leg wobble which is why I have them on in the first place. Hence I gave up.

Love mine - they work for me. Don't think baler twine safe - if you come off using these straps, they will release.

I find I can concentrate on other positional problems and stop worrying about my legs creeping too far back when I am using these.

i tried them and they freaked me out. i felt very constricted by them. but perhaps i am just too used to years of riding with my leg far too far forward?! i tried them once for about ten minutes then ripped them off and never used them again now they are just sitting in a cupboard destined for ebay!
