seems to me ok- its this or skinners duck and rice not sure which is best.

Too much grain in it for me, and chicken meal can be rendered down beaks/feet/feathers. Not a food I would choose.

I would choose Skinners of the two. I don't feed corn or barley.

thanks all i wasn't sure which as that had more meat content but probably worse quality- just picked up some skinners.

Mine all love Skinners and it suits them well, we use field and trial crunchy

Just looked at the Skinners ingredients - rice as the first ingredient and again 'meal' will mean its not a good source of meat, so not a good food either.

There is programme on Ch 5 tomorrow night about dog food and its ingredients, might be worth a watch.

thanks teasel- well he has eaten the duck and rice mixed with old food well so good start.
hoping we get to bottom of his problems soon- this has been going on for 2 months now with vet input and so far no change.

Meal can be a very could source of protein. It does come in different grades - the one to avioid is derivatives.
Rice as first ingredient is ok as long as it is the only cereal. Many firms cheat by splitting the cereals so the meat appears first on the list.
