What do you think of this horse? (Picture)

Looks nice but difficult to tell from that picture.
As for the five hours interrogate the owner about soundness vet issues etc etc then just go its nothing in the big scheme of horse ownership.

Lovely :D... if you are thinking of going 5 hour drive, then get at least 30 photos of her and post them here for everyone to rip to shreds, will help you massively! XX

Looks smart.

If you are going to see her - make sure you see more pictures and a video before you go.

dont envy you a 5 hr drive, but sometimes you just need to do it to find what your looking for :)

i would ask by telephone a million questions and by email too! and call every third of the journey on the way down in case they have sold or changed their minds !

good luck and let us know how you get on :)

This might be an odd way of thinking.. but I would wonder why such an apparently classy mare was advertised on that particular site. Lets face it, Dragon Driving isn't renowned as the place to go for a class horse.

I was thinking the same! it's not the best of websites is it? :/

she is lovely!

5hours isn't that bad! when I picked up my baby from the midlands I had to work 4-8am then drive up there, got there about 12.30, took an hour to load, got back about 6.30pm, in the pitch black, so turned him out waited at bit, then had to drop the lorry back, and drive home by the time i'd done all that I was home by 10.30pm then had to be up at 4.45am to go to work again!! was a hard day but he was soooo worth it :)

I would want to see some better pictures of her before I contemplated a 5 hr drive. In this pic you can't really see much. She looks smart, my only observation is that she has quite a lot of gear on (flash, martingale and gag) but maybe that can be explained by the fact that they appear to be going hunting.

Re Dragon Driving, I have bought 2 great cobs from that site.

As others have said, you can't tell a great deal from that photo.
Dragondriving is like any other site, you need to look at each horse as an individual and keep your wits about you. TBH if the fact that the site has some dodgy looking ads on makes people a bit more careful, I think that's a good thing. Do people really think that H&H/Horsequest et al only have honest sellers advertising? I have no problem buying thorugh DD but I do have problems driving more than about 50 mins, having met more misadvertised horses over the years than accurate ads.
There are a lot of Friesians on DD, so the vendor is probably expecting to find a knowledgeable buyer. Is she in Bradford?

If you can, ask them lots of questions by email, then if any issues later, nobody can get confused about what was said in answers as youve got them in the email in black and white.
I think she looks lovely but difficult to judge from one pic
