what do you think of this horse?

This is the horse I have on loan. Sorry that the pictures are rubbish, took them while I had the oppertunity and dont have the best photography skills.
She is a 14 yr old TBx. She is 15.2 and chestnut. When I got her in October she had hardly been ridden since the previous winter and was a mess. Skin and bone really. She had zero muscle. Im trying to build her back up but hard due to lack of facilities. She used to be a good show jumper when she was 7 or 8. Im hoping she wont loose anymore weight and that once I hopefull move yards I can do a lot more lunging and schooling with her. Light nights will also give me more time to ride.
I will try and take some nicer pics soon

She has lost a lot of condition since theres photos. Ive had vet out and there is nothing physically wrong with her, its just how she is. She gets very skinny in winter and picks it back up in summer, but is never too fat.
Just out of intrest, how would you go about building up topline and back muscles. Going to start tomorrow

Were the photos of her with snow on the ground taken last week or have i got that wrong? She looks in good enough condition already if they were. Its not the end of the world if horses to drop a little condition in the winter as they'll make it up come the spring grass. is she usually a good doer?

Building up topline and muscle is about the right work that develop those muscles. Building up lunge work 15- 30 minutes in lose side reins working her topline long and low can help but if you're unfamiliar with lunging get someone to show you or there's a wealth of information online that can help you learn from.

is she actually in any work at the minute?

Lula. Yes the 4 snow photos were about a week and a half ago. The other one is slightly longer. Im not too worried about her atm as she is getting ad lib hay and plenty of the right feed containing the right amount of vits and minerals. Vet says she is perfectly fine and her coat is so glossy.
I havent lunged for a while and neither has my horse so thanks for the advice. We have side reins in the tack room and I will do someunging with her tomorrow . She has pretty much been wasted. In regard to work, she is lightly hacked at the weekends only due to the dark nights. When I got her I basicly started taking her for walks progressed to very short hacks due to her muscle wastage. Then everything took over so she has only being kept in the lightest possible work as i didnt want to push her too hard and strain her. Now its light while 5 I can start bringing her back into work.
She does need a properly fitted saddle which we are on our way to sorting :)
