Hi All,

I'm selling my trailer and 4x4 and stated in the advert that would part ex as looking for a 7.5t lorry.

Well, someone has contacted me and their lorry ticks the boxes so far and they are interested in my trailer.

Before anyone jumps in I am having a vehicle inspection done and it will be weighed first and foremost.

But, what do you think of the price for what it is?

Thanks

I think its an old lorry (17 years) and a cheap GRP conversion.

Plus that's an old merc and may rock and sway heck of a lot unless its on air.
I think you could buy a younger GRP conversion for less money

It is a very old chassis/cab which is worth only scrap value of £700.00. It is clearly a cheaply done conversion and the rear of the container is well over the rear axel so when you have horses in it I would suspect that the rear axel could be overweight. That model of Mercedez is very soft on suspension which makes it roll round corners. As a horsebox it is worth no more than £3,000

Thanks for all replies, did wonder about the price so good to know my thoughts were right!

Also, didn't know about the suspension - generally I seem to hear good things about merc lorries, learn something new everyday!

Thanks SLightly Foxed for the link to the other one as well! Stick sides, does that mean it's a wooden body? or are just the 'sticks' on the sides wooden?

Thanks

I've seen this advertised alot locally for a while cos we are in the area...lots of people I know are looking for lorries, no one has expressed any interest in this one...says alot. ;) I don't know anything about it but know it's been expressed as over priced.
