what do you think of this stallion?

Sweet, but average, to be honest. Bit of a short thick neck and perhaps a little over at the knee, hard to tell from the photo. He looks a scopey jumper but very very green, and he's giving it so much space I would wonder if he's unconfident.

Also, he's 12 but has no competition record, that would be off-putting for me. I'm guessing from the lack of photos that he's not ridden, and I personally wouldn't breed from a horse that's unridden - how can you judge his trainability? Would have to see him move, but from the advert, I would say unexceptional.

What are you breeding for? Eventing?
 
agree with pigeon,

i would want to know how its nature is whilst ridden, know it has done a certain level discipline of which you would want. trainability and certainly some kind of performance record to confirm its quality almost. temperament is equally as important as confirmation etc:)

This is nice too, another warmblood, conformationally beautiful (I might just be saying that because he looks identical to my boy but with white bits) though looks a bit of a handful to ride in the jumping pics.

There's so many stunning stallions out there, and now with AI their location doesn't matter, it'd be silly to choose an average/under-average horse to breed from!!
 
He's graded S1, which means NOT APPROVED, despite what they try and tell you. He doesn't have pedigree actually listed, not a worldbeater by any imagination. Pretty markings, but that's all.
 
A bit average and I'd like to see his legs up close - difficult from pics but his pasterns look a little long for my taste.

He might be a lovely horse up close though :).

I know the guy that bred him and he has some beautiful stallions. Extremely talented and very well mannered, he doesn't own this one now but had him as a youngster, would reccommed anything from him as he is a really good horseman. We were thinking of using him for one of our mares until we got offered the ride of our current stallion :)
