ok, so at the moment our field is like concrete and all the jumps are on it. i dont want to risk any jarring or splints as he is already accident prone, so am avoiding jumping on it.
the arena is very dusty and is very unlevel, rode in it today and it was ok, but is small and he gets bored very easily in it.
the roads are ok, but again i dont like the jarring of it as well as field work, and he gets very impatient when made to walk all the way around without any trot work
which makes him invent things to amuse himself, ie. spooking silly at the "fluffy clouds on the ground"
had a thought, do i hack to local dressage rider's arena which is MASSIVE and has nice surface, and is about 30mins away on hack? it would be free of charge i think, as they are family friends and she is away at a wedding. what do you think? i am confused as what to do ??
and what should i do as he gets bored easily? (merlin needs a lot to keep him interested as is beginning to "develop" his personality and there is a lot of horse with a teenager rebellion!
