What do you wear to school this time of year?

I ride in the evenings after work (6/7pm-ish) and go to the yard in thick winter jacket, hoody/fleece and t-shirt underneath, which does alright at keeping me warm and dry on the yard. But I always get so sweaty schooling like that, it's gross! Can't work out what I can wear to keep me warm enough on yard, but also not too hot when riding. I would just take coat off to ride, but then I won't be waterproof when I ride, and I'll ride as long as it's not tipping down. So what do you do?

If I start schooling warm enough then I'm too hot soon! Atm I wear t-shirt (long or short sleeves), bp then musto snug jacket. It keeps the wind and rain off without cooking me. I am a bit warm when I finish, but if I take my coat off half way through then it becomes a scary monster! Afterwards I take my bp off and put a nice big jumper on instead, then back on with my jacket.

I tend to ride in either breeches or jeans - with MH long boots or short boots & chaps. I usually wear a long sleeved top or v-neck jumper, with a fleece or sweatshirt over the top and a gilet. I'll add a coat if raining. Then hand warmers or gloves (if very cold, then hand warmers over the gloves) & a snood. If very cold or I'm hacking and it might rain, then I'll wear Rambo full chaps too.

I ride after work so it's dark and miserable too, I wear work trousers..and wellies!!! Lol!! Glamours me!! If it's really cold I'll throw on some jogging pants but it's usually my work clothes with a thick coat... no wander I've always got the washing machine on!!

I arrive in the yard in my jodddies (black - they're thicker than my beige ones), vest, long-sleeved top, body warmer, coat (which is a hiking coat, so has a full removeable fleece and lining), hat, scarf, gloves and fleece lined muckers. To ride, I get my long boots out of my bag, switch hats, switch gloves and ride in my top and body-warmer essentially. It keeps me warm without leaving me sweaty, and my arms are free to work. I also feel more supported in a body warmer I find than in a jumper for some reason, even though it obviously doesn't provide a hoot of protection! But yes, the secret for me is layering and the wonderment of body warmers 80)

I get ridiculously hot whilst schooling so I will always take my coat off! At the moment I'm wearing full seat breeches, half chaps and boots, polo shirt, jumper and coat to do my jobs but then take coat off and add BP. On the warmer days I may wear a vest and long sleeved rugby shirt and then BP.

Summertime kills me as I'm always hot within about 20 secs :)
