What does a purchase vetting consist of ?

Vet will check eyes, heart, conformation & for any obvious scars/marks etc. They will also fill in the diagram for the vet reciept.

Horse is trotted up & then has flexion tests.

Horse is ridden strenuously (at canter) for vet to watch & to raise its heart beat.

Heart beat is checked again.

Horse is again trotted up in hand & more flexions are done.

Horse is backed up & spun on a sixpence again to check soundness etc.

Then hopefully, vet will say your horse has passed and fill in a full report on everything he found that was wrong with said horsey.
