what does everyone know about navicular?

just a querie everyone about navicular disease, what it is? how to deal with it? in brodmares des it get passed on t foals?

Its manmade, so not genetic.

In the past most horses with front leg lameness would have been diagnosed with navicular - given raised heels or pts - nowadays with the advance of technology - a lot of ligament and tendon damage is diagnosed rather than navicular - treatment these days tends to be egg bars rather than raised heels - its an incredibly complicated subject matter and each case is completley different.
