What does he need for general youngstock class?

Just wondering if my welsh section d can still be shown in a white rope halter or whether it needs to be a inhand bridle as he is just going into a general youngstock class this time rather then a m&m youngstock class? Don't want him to look out of place lol (if we get there

If he's a gelding you can show in a white halter, I show my 7 yo D gelding in a halter inhand.....Colts over 2 years MUST be bitted, and some yearlings are bitted if they are colty. Turn him out according to his breed standard, any judge worth their salt will know what breed they are looking at *hopefully!*
