What does Mark Todd know about riding in the bush ?

Now, if it was NZ I may consider it, but lions, hyenas and all that, NO THANKS MATE.

Having been to Botswana, I can assure you that elephants are probably more of a risk (our 4x4 was chased by one hell-bent on squashing us - after he'd deliberately blocked the track by uprooting trees and throwing them down on it!

Obviously there will be local tour guides (carrying suitable rifles on their saddles) who are the real leaders. Mark Todd is the icing on the cake! :D

I'd go like a shot if I didn't have far too many horses - and no money! Botswana is an awesome place! And the up-market camps are very well equipped and run - I had a ball - although mine was a trip for travel journalists and we travelled around in jeeps (no, I wasn't a travel journalist - just very lucky to know a lovely magazine editor!)

I would go like a shot. Richard Meade did something similiar a while ago and this is the only sort of equine holiday I would like. I had a 1 day safari in Kenya a couple of years ago and would have loved to have spent more time doing it.

In fact... I am going to google it now!
