I was looking at my mares passport the other day when the vet was in for vaccinations and couldn't work out part of the breeding info,
She is registered with the Irish Horse society, her sire is Western Promise and he has ISH APP after his name which I am assuming means Irish Sports Horse Approved. Her dam has NLH Main studbook after her name - neither the vet or I knew what NLH stands for so I'm hoping someone on here might! Her breeder told me she would be 7/8ths TB so I'm wondering if it can apply somehow there?

isnt that what the SHB(GB) was called years ago - National Light horse Scoiety?
If it is then shes registered with the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain.

I've just gone and grab the passport out of the car!
Definately NLH, my mare was born in 1997 so it will date back to about then, I'll give the IHS a phone as it's starting to bug me not knowing lol!
Thanks guys

I sort of know what you mean my ISH mare has M.F.S before her name and i have no idea what it means either and no one else seems to know it means it's very irritating
But i also don't know what NLH means
