Maybe it's a spelling mistake and they meant 'pure'... that's how I read it.

Aaaah, of course. And here I was thinking it was some new 'expression' I'd not come across before LOL

And therefore extremely polite and well-mannered. "Pure gentleman" would be a term I would apply to some stallions, for example.
