Must be Waterproof, and not for skinnyminny calves. Brown, and not too fancy!
Ive looked at Dubarrys and tried them on (several times) but I think Santa wont think Ive been THAT good. Liking the cabbotswood boots but dont know alot about them.

I swear by my Mark Todd Country Boots.

I have had them about a year and they are fab - totally waterproof (I went ankle deep in a puddle of muck heap yuckiness the other day. Dry as a bone!), warm and comfy. I have 17 inch calves and have the boots in wide fit. They are great over breeches and jeans too. I ride in them, do yard work and walk to dog for miles. They haven't dropped on the leg either.

I bought some Toggi Canyon boots at Your Horse Live (so not had them long) but so far I've ridden in them twice and been out in the mud and they've been fab - totally waterproof so far and much warmer than my old rubber muckers (I won't be going back - I've seen the light!) Not too sure on calf sizes with that one, but they have an elasticated bit at the top.

I vaguely remember one of the horse mags this week having a front page headline about testing winter boots... didn't look at it though. May be interesting to see which one came recommended.
