I have had another curve ball thrown my way and am in a bit of a quandry as to what to do. Due to my horses injuries sustained whilst on loan. I think she can really be written off as a riding horse. By the time she has fully recovered she is likely to be seven, and have done nothing and seen nothing. I'm just wondering what to do. If I had a choice, I would like to keep her near to me and for her to be out at grass where I can take care of her. But there is no grass livery near me - I haven't got the contacts to ask around privately. I have had an offer of her breeder to take her back to recouperate, which is terribly kind, but that is 6 hours away. I have also had a kind offer from friends in Sweden, who said that they would help me out and keep her for me. I know she would be fine there, but it is a long way away. I'd miss her!!! and I worry that if she is too much for them over there, that I won't be able to get her back etc. She is a good little horse, but sharp and also dominant, which means you have to be careful who you turn her out with. She is only six and I need to do what is best for her. The reason I had to put her on loan was because I was expecting a baby and the father bailed out, followed by my being made redundant, So all round it has been a bit of a disaster

if you really can't manage how things are then i'd let her go back to the breeder but make sure you get it all in writing what the expectations are, how much you pay and when you can have her back etc.
