14.1hh 14yrs piebald cob x. More poor-doer than good-doer but never really skinny. Quite a nervy horse in general (apparently mistreated when he was a foal but history not known). Poor hoof quality, quite crumbly but all 4 hooves shod. Ridden only at weekends through winter when weather is good due to work commitments and vet has recently said he has a ‘respiratory rattle’ from dusty hay.

This is him September 2009

And here in summer 2008

Plenty of grass available summer to autumn.

Currently fed Dengie Alfa A Oil, Conditioning Nuts and Sugar Beet. Just wondering what you would be feeding him?

I would swap the sugar beet for something unmollased as he is abit hyper, maybe speedibeet or dengie alfabeet. I would also put him on a balancer or general purpose supplement that should help with his feet. If it was me I would use blue chip because I have used it on horses in the past and think it is amazing!
