Do you wear in the summer just generally being around horses but not for riding?? I have been wearing my joules wellies and my god do they sweat!!! Any suggestions?!

Deck shoes or canvas trainers... Pumps occasionally. All the things I would refuse to allow a child at camp down to the stable in :D

Depends whos asking :D PC instructor type person joddy boots, always!

In reality primark plimsolls for mucking out and dirty stuff and flip flops for just checking the pony over if its really hot :o or what ever else I happen to have available that suits the weather.

Walking boots - after years of wandering round in wellies, trainers, jod boots and muck boots that offer absolutely no support or protection I have ended up with an arthritic heal, which lames me unless I wear sensible shoes! Why do we only learn things when its too late!!

Wellies or canvas pumps, I really need to get something sturdier as my feet are wrecked but am so skint, maybe walking boots would be doable.... to eBay and beyond!

Another vote for Ariat Tellurides! Mine are years old and totally battered but I love them. I recently got some new woof yard boots but can't quite bring myself to wear them yet as they are nice and clean!

I also can't cope seeing people around horses in flimsy footwear, makes me cringe too!

And another for ariat tellurides, so comfy! Although I dug them out of the garage the other day now its a bit warmer and it seems the mice also found them a very comfy bed over the winter too as they had left 'deposits'... I'm not sure how I feel about wearing them now!!!

Currently wearing my ancient tatty Ariat Jod boots. They are so comfortable. I can't wear them in the wet as the leather is split on both boots across the tops of the toes.
