What fruit and veg do you feed to your horses

Was just wondering what fruit and veg do you feed your horses?

Sweade, banana, apples, carrots. My old pony used to have cabbage, parsnips, brussel sprouts and lots more

Only carrots for mine! Usually to get him to stretch his head down and on either side, and also has fun searching for them in haynets and strung up in the stable. He doesn't like apples, and doesn't understand that swedes are for eating.. either that or he isn't interested in them! xx

Grow the apples and go into the supermarkets late, just before closing, everything else is dirt cheap

Are bananas OK for horses...it's not often at all, just on a special occasion?

It depends what is growing or in the fridge.

Carrots, apples when I can get to them before the deer do from a couple of trees in the forest, and corn cobs.

All the horses get corn cobs, they love them, I buy them by the sackful, $5 a bag and I go into the field opposite the house and fill up feed bags. I could go and help myself, the farmer would never know but I can't bring myself to do that.

They help themselves to blackberries and apples, they live in an old orchard.

Know a horse who eat's them un-peeled.. not sure if it is OK but he seems to enjoy them and has done him no harm?

My horse would eat any or most fruit and veg but for the one like a carrot but is white and a wee bit think at the top l for get the name plus l am no trying to be bad by it by the way l have put it down .He will eat most things like l said that is way in a way he is the size he is

Carrots, apples, blackberries, swede, and anything else he can get a hold of! He will try anything once, he usually grabs for it, then decides whether or not he likes it.

Parsnips!! That's my boy's absolute favourite (although he is a hoover and will eat pretty much anything)

Try currants, sultannnas, bannanas, with or without skin, mangoes, pinapples swedes, cooked potatoes, sweetcorn, pulled nettles, cabbage, parsips, basically if they eat it, they like it
