Please can anyone tell me what glue to use on a turnout rug to stick on a patch that will be waterproof and flexible too? Or am I imagining something I cannot get and this patch actually needs to be stitched onto the rug?

Help urgently as I've got the rug all cleaned and the patch ready to go on, I have a tube or Rambo stormsure but this isn't the right stuff I have realised doh!!!!

stormsure is excellent (I imagine the rambo stuff is the same), they have youtube vids of how best to patch although it does mean making the hole a bit bigger to start.

Another vote for Stormsure - it is a bit fiddly but it does the job. Alternatively sew it on ?

Thanks - I've had a go with the stormsure, got more over my hands than on the rug. I didn't realise you could do that without the patch. If it doesn't go well I still have the patch and will get some copydex glue to stick it over the top tomorrow.

Another vote for copydex - but I'd oversew it too. That way when the rug's in tatters, your patch will still be stuck tight!
