There used to be loads of fun little events on when I was a kid with PC games and tiny jumping etc. but now my son is on the lead-rein, I cant find any to take him to! I dont want to do the usual poncy lead-rein showing (we cant anyway as his pony is 13.2hh so too big!). I just want him to have some fun, do some basic games etc. Where did they all go?!

You need to move to the south west! There seems to be a selection of village/local shows on every weekend, all of them with gymkhana ring and mini/assisted/lead rein jumping rings. I love them. They are great for building confidence.

Damn it, then where have they all gone up here in NE Scotland! My sons 3, so I just want him to have fun - not chuck him into the utter boredom that be showing! His pony is too big and too old anyway. :(

I think it's a regional thing. I live in Yorkshire and the show I went to today had 2 showing rings and a showjumping ring. Not that unusual round here. I'm from the East Midlands originally and when I used to go to shows down there they would often have 2 showing rings showjumping, workers, dressage, handy pony, a games ring, sometimes a fun dog show too- literally something for everyone.
