they are all labradoodles or some other nonsense. I just want a cross breed puppy to replace our boy when we rehome him. I want to do it fairly quickly so husband will stop moping around, but I can't find anything under £300! I want a puppy so he/she gets used to a toddler, have checked my local paper (friday-ad) any other suggestions
Thanks

Hi
Have looked at sussex pet rescue who don't rehome to you if you have a child under 5, we have the RSPCA but I think they have a massive waiting list for puppies. Can't find anywhere else
Thanks

My aunt accidentally

Totally useless post (I'm overseas), but one of the rescues I'm considering for our next dog has some adorable x-breed pups in right now. I'm completely head over heels with
Sophie's Pups. Click on Dogs!

All of the rescues I'm in touch with have young pups. Many pups are shipped to more populated areas from poor rural areas, where dogs in general still have a tough time and are often turned loose if they prove themselves poor hunters, guarders etc. My friend lives on a farm in Missouri, and she has taken in three dogs--two foxhounds, and a Cattle Dog--that came onto her land covered in fleas, emaciated etc.

Does it have to be a cross breed? We've just rehomed a labrador that is very child friendly - we got her through labrador rescue quite local to you. They also have lab crosses. An adult dog that is used to toddlers is far easier than a puppy - do you really want to be house training a puppy with a toddler mooching around?

I tried all the rescue places in Sussex but, like you, we came up with the same no-toddler policy from all except lab rescue.
