Hello, I have a welsh cob with thick feathers, I need to buy some clippers because getting somebody in to do it is expensive. I have seen some clippers on Amzon for £49.99 made by sure clip, they look pretty good and have two sets of blades. Do you think they will do the job ? you can see them if you search amazon with this " horse clipper sure clip " thanks for the help ?

They sound like trimmers for that price. Would recommend liberty stars but 2 nd hand you are looking at £200. Factor in blade sharing, servicing and I think it's cheaper to get someone to do it

Masterclip ones are good from my experiance, I have the trimmers and the clippers and they are both very good for the price.

I have some Liveryman Element trimmers, but they easily do my cobs hog and feathers. They do a small clip (bib/ low trace) on one charge too. I think they were about £75. x

i've got liveryman - they're good but we've had a problem with them getting quite hot but i've not know any others do this so think its an isse with our pair! they are supper heavy duty and clip the feathers of our cob no problem! the only thing i don't like is they are mains!!

one yard i work at has the lister clippers and the trimmers with a battery pack which are super! i love them!have and can clip of a fair amount of feather and get through even the thickest coat PLUS they are purple!!

and the other yard has wolsey small clippers which are also really good with a battery pack but can be slightly temperamental - less heavy duty so probably not idea
