i don't mean like some local shows, i mean like olympics, FEI, ect, you know

i have been to:
apassionata (9/10)
olympia (9/10)
and i will be going to see the royal riding school of vienna, can't wait :D

what shows have you seen, i was just wondering??

All of those, I've been to Saumur too.

Also Cavalia, which is WAY better than Apassionata, if you ever get the opportunity to see it you really must. That sort of show usually bores me (fell asleep in Apassionata) but this is different, kind of Le Cirque du Soleil meets LOTR: http://cavalia.net/en

I go to The Royal (Toronto) every year - our equivalent of HOYS I suppose.
We are planning to go to Calgary next July, not really a horse show as such though.

Are you going to Vienna to see the Lippizans? Enjoy :)

no, they are coming to england and i'm going to see them :)
did you know that cavalia is actually made by one of the original people from cirque du soleil or however you spell it :D:confused:

i thought apassionata was great but the only bad thing was that i didn't really understand the storyline and the woman kept on singing in some language i didn't understand -__-

Hickstead Derby and RIHS - loads of times as its up the road from us, love it.
Windsor-quite a few times also love it, always go on M&M day and sit by the Copper Horse Arena watching them all day long!
Olympia-lots of times, my favourite by far! Love the atmosphere.
HOYS-going for the first time this year really looking forward to it.
Also won Horseworld Live tickets for the London Excel centre so going to that this year very excited!

I saw the Spanish riding school practicing in Vienna in 1989. We were interrailing around Europe and you could queue up early and see them for a very small amount of money. It was magical.

I've been to:

-London 2012 Olympic sj
-Olympia
-Hickstead Royal International meeting
-Badminton xc but only as a kid

Watching of course not doing, although can't say I haven't dreamt about doing them ;)

One of the best "shows" I've seen was at the Living Horse Museum in Chantilly, France. I thought it was just a museum so was pleasantly surprised when we were ushered into a small arena to watch several dressage demos etc - only downside was that the commentary was understandably all in French....not my strong point!!!

Have also been to the Calgary Stampede which I thoroughly enjoyed although I have to admit a couple of the rodeo events left me feeling uncomfortable:(

All many multiple times: Spanish Riding School Vienna, French National Riding School Saumur, Royal School of Equestrian Art Jerez, Portuguese School of Equestrian Art Lisbon, Living Museum of the Horse Chantilly, French National Stud Haras du Pin, Academy of Equestrian Spectacle Versailles, Apassionata, Spirit of the Horse, Dublin Horse Show, S.I.C.A.B Seville Spain, Feria Jerez Spain, Golega Fair Portugal, UK National Dressage Champs, Aachen, BAPSH National Champs, etc. P.S. I am quite old!

Only one, many years ago I got to see the Lipizzaners - Spanish riding school at Wembley arena. One of our party couldn't make it and we took my gran instead - she was about 90 at the time and we took her all the way into London on the trains and underground - it was probably her last ever train trip and big visit anywhere. The horses were lovely.

Went to see the Spanish school practice session in Vienna also. We got ushered out just as the naughty young horses were being bought in. )-: they looked like a lot of fun but i dont think they wanted any spectators. We also got shown around the horse palace (oops, stables) and stroked a few horses when guide was distracted by questions.
Saw the last leg of the global champs in Abu Dhabi last year. Even non horsey OH enjoyed it.
Also going to the NEC in November to see Spanish riding school. really looking forward to that :D

One of our RS horses qualified for Veteran Arab Gelding at HOYS once, so went to see that when I was 14?
Yard trip to Olympia when I was about 7
Went a couple of years ago to see Showjumping at Chester racecourse two or three years back, its not seemed to have been back on since :(

Went to all of the Olympic 3day event and a day of Olympic showjumping and the para-dressage on Tuesday.

And off to see the Lipizzaners in Vienna in a couple of weeks! :)

i think rodeo is cruel, but if you know what you are doing then its fine but tbh most people don't. in my opinion
