Have had H&H on sub for quite a few years now.

Used to have Your Horse on sub a fair few years ago but stopped, I found it rather patronising and felt it was mostly aimed at novice, middle aged women with more money than sense, which I am not!

Don't tend to buy them anymore, full of adverts, E&L leaflets, Robinsons catalogues and competitions (that I never seem to win!) I'm not paying £3.75 (or however much they are) for that.

I'd rather spend my money on a good horse book.

Sometimes I'll get one though but it's once in a blue moon, tend to go for Your Horse.

I really like Horse, I get Horse and Hound at least a couple of times a month (especially if any of the local hunts are in it!) I sometimes read Your Horse and Horse and Rider, and I usually get a local magazine called Equestrian Life. :)

Subscribed to H&H, Horse, Eventing & Scottish and Northern Equestrian mag in the past. Bit by bit I've ended up cancelling them all. The IPC ones seriously lack content of any interest (to me) and Horse was the final one to be cancelled last month. I'll sometimes pick up H&H if something on the cover catches my eye but usually end up regretting it as the related article is never of any substance (IMO). I'll occasionally pick up Eventing or ScotNorth if I'm in the saddlery and it's near the till but that's once in a blue moon.

The new western magazine is really good (Western Riding UK), I've just cancelled my subscription as I no longer have a QH or ride western but it's so well made and the content is relevant while still being a balanced mix of reports, training, horse care, product reviews etc. I think the market would benefit from an "english" equivalent for the people who've posted in reply to all the magazine related posts that have occurred.

You can get a free magazine subscription to Horse or Your Horse using Tesco clubcard vouchers.

I get this as a Xmas present for a friend each year. After she has read the magazine she passes in onto me. Not only do I get to give a good present at no cost to me I get to read the magazine too. I'm not sure if that makes me clever or just tight!

None. Too expensive and full of the same old stuff recycled. Might stand in Smiths and have a flick if I'm waiting for a train, but other than that I don't buy any magazines.

Is Horse and Pony still going? And if so, is it still full of leaflets about that Queen somethingorother boarding school that every pony mad child begged their parents to send them to?

Also, what about Gallop? Anyone remember that?

I don't tend to buy them, but one time there was a tiny picture of my pony in a section of Horse: they had come onto HHO to ask for comments on a particular issue, and mine got used. So I bought that one!

subscribed to H&H. Was subscribed to Your Horse but cancelled it this month as i found it had nothing of interest to read in it. Have just subscribed to H&R to try that out, found a really good deal on line where it was about £6 for a quarter and free toggi gloves and socks...it might also be rubbish but i like to have a horsey mag to read on my lunch at work and H&H has weeks where theres not much of interest to me. I pick up local rider and south east rider, and nag mag, equi ads etc when i go to the tack shop.

Oh and have also subscribed to Pony for my 7 yr old for xmas, she loves it but i think Horse and pony was much better when i was a nipper! does it still exist? not seen it for ages...

I do subscribe to H&H, however, it's very difficult to read it when you don't get your copies sent to you.

See Sticky in NL!!!

Sub to H&H, WHW and Rider. Used to subscribe to Eventing but realised it was a waste of money considering the eventing reports were in H&H weeks before they were in Eventing anyway and pretty much said the same thing. When I was younger I used to subscribe to Pony - I really didn't remember that though until someone else said it earlier

I only subscribe to Western Horse UK now - family used to subscribe to H&H but it so rarely even recognises that Western riding exists, it's a bit irrelevant to me. I still pick up an individual copy of any of the mainstream mags, though, if something useful to me is featured.
