What/how much to feed

just following on from a conversation with someone...

I have a 10yo 16.3 tb x, not clipped, living in at night, out during day. gets around 6 hours work a week.

What/how much would you feed him?

Depends really. As much hay as he wanted definately. But the rest would depend on tempermanet, whether he was a good doer, what kind of work he was doing etc.

Not a very good dooer, but hes not bad either.

work involves hacks about 1 -1.5 hrs, not going paticulary very fast, and schooling (no jumping)

Red mills horse care cubes and oil and a little chaff.

any standard course/mix or pony cube. Chaff (one with not too much molasses in it) and some oil wouldn't hurt. If he sweats alot some salt. As a giude 2.5% bodyweight should be being fed per day.
Very biased as had very good results with them but would use falcon feeds the biocare is great stuff
