Ted sounds (and looks!) rather like my last boy, pictured in my avatar, only he was convinced that SJs had horse eating monsters hiding under them but didn't bat an eyelid at xc fences :rolleyes:

That is so funny! I think I own Ted's relation. My horse holds his breath too when he's tense! Which used to be the first 40 minutes of any ride, minimum (not 40 minutes on one breath, you know what I mean). He'd pee every five minutes if you let him, too, but we don't because he finds enough excuses not to work as it is. Hysterical. And, at 11 years old, he appears to have turned a maturity corner. He's getting turned out for winter before he changes his mind! Unfortunately for me, though, he's nowhere near as good looking as Ted.

Fwiw the PROtector hats are BE approved, so I think you would be able to xc in it? Not 100% sure mind but this is taken from the PRO website...."SNELL E2001, the highest manufactured standard in the WORLD. Approved standard by BSJA, British Eventing and The Pony Club"

Great read! I've also got an 11 yr old KWPN who sounds just like Ted, we SJ too...

but we are attacking dressage again tomorrow for the first time in about 1 year so see if our demons have gone! Sadly I've gone right back to the beginning for a w&t test and P7... we shall see!

Weirdly I have been debating taking her to a ode!
