I placed a job wanted advert yeterday on a local horse website and have had a reply from somebody who has a child who wants lessons. Details are very vague at the moment but it seems child has own pony and the lessons would be on their property. I have no teaching qualifications but do have teaching experience. (Gained whilst training to do PTT but I haven't taken it yet.) I will obviously discuss this further with the person who enquired, but I was wondering what sort of insurance I would need or would be recommended to go and teach somebody?

Sounds like you need public liability insurance as a freelance instructor if you're not going to be employed by them? Speak to an equestrian insurer and they should be able to help.
