how much is GNS, in york sales what is 100 gns i am only used to £ or euro?

1 guinea = 1 pound 5 pence. Well it did last time I was at a sale anyway.

thats right auctions are often in guineas, boought breeding rams the other week, use to be auctioneer kept guinea and seller had pound.

For those of us pre decimal one guinea was 21 shillings, or one pound and one shilling which now equates as above to £1.05.
