They are what they say on the tin!! High profile!! So normally the more elite in the competition world if its a high profile competition (eg Olympia, U25s Nationals, CDI3* etc), but the BD Convention is also counted as high profile and obviously that isnt a competition its a 2 day convention.
I'd be interested to know the qualification/ entry requirements though. I saw it on the Vale View schedule for November and wondered about it. They seem to have a Prelim class so the lower levels are also covered.
I dont know about the rest of the schedule, but are three ROR classes at that show (requiring qualification to enter) at P, N, and E... Is that what you are seeing on schedule?
You'll probably find more detailed info on this or indeed any competition through the BD magazine than either their website or the venue websites, I never trust either of the latter.
Do you have an RoR, there will be quite a few of us there I think! ;-)
Thanks for the info really useful. I have a 20 yr old Irish TB but he was passported when they brought the regs in so he's with the Veteran Horse Society and hence not Wetherbys. I have no idea if he ever raced. I really must get in touch with his previous owners to find out what he did in a former life. I'd really love a pic of him as a foal. He's a grey so maybe he was a totally different colour 20 years ago!
