The Carrot Lady ignored me for a while, which was ok, because I was in the big field with my friends and not in Pony Jail like before, so I wasn't hungry all the time, and I didn't have to leave, which is what I did when I was in the other no-grass field with the black mare, and there was biting fence except it didn't bite, so I ignored it and left, and I got in trouble and got put in Pony Jail. That was last time the Carrot Lady was gone. But not this time, like I said. This time was ok.

But now she's back, which is ok too, because it means I get my blue bucket again! I like my blue bucket a lot: it has food in, and that is really good! :) But it also means I get sat on again. Sofar, that's been ok: we went for a few trots in the woods, which was fine, except when the dun mare kicked me in the nose.

I do have a question, though: the Carrot Lady keeps saying that I've swallowed a zeppelin. What is a zeppelin? I don't think I've eaten anything unusual in the last while, except some nice red berries that she gave me yesterday in the woods, and that was after the first time she said the thing about me swallowing a zeppelin, so those red berries can't be a zeppelin.

A while ago, I did eat a hard smooth round thing called a button, which was nice and hard to nibble, but didn't taste as good as I was hoping when I managed to pull it off the people-blanket that was on the person who was holding my rope (the Carrot Lady never lets me eat buttons!). Is a zeppelin maybe the same thing as a button? That's the only thing I can think of that I ate that was not the same as normal, but like I said, it was a while ago already, so I don't know why the Carrot Lady would bring it up now.

I hope I get more of those red berries, though! And the plants they grow on! :)

Carrots,
the Spooky Pony

Dear Ron,

why wouldn't I want to eat a zeppelin, if it's so huuuge? Is it bigger than my really big neep? Does it taste better than the neep did? Maybe someone else ate the zeppelin, and the Carrot Lady is confused, and only thinks it was me? Am I being framed?

Dear Spooky Pony, I think Ron is correct, the carrot lady is being rude! Baloons are not nice to eat, very chewy and not a nice flavour :( They also make a nasty bangy noise when they burst, so I guess that a very big one would make a very big noise and be frightening. It;s just one of the stupif things these humans say, TPIO called my field mate a Hippo today. why?
I haven't eaten a button, but I got into trouble for trying to eat a tobble (I think that's what it was) it pulled TPIO's blanket tight and she was cross and got it back off me before I had a proper chew, which I think was mean. :)
Best wishes
The Appy mare

Dear Appy Mare,

I know those tobbles too! They are very good fun. You pull on them and let go, and they go twannngg! The Hoof Lady has those on her blanket!

I think the Carrot Lady must have lost the plot, then, if balloons or zeppelins don't taste very good. I certainly wouldn't eat a loud spooky thing!

Dear FM,

I'm not sure what a Meerkat is, but I will keep an eye out! Is it scary?? I hope I get to go hunting again soon, that was fun, especially the running really really fast bit. And the howling barking things were fun too!

Hoi Spooky Pony,

Your Wortel lady is being indeed rude! she is saying that after your Vakantie your are a little groot!

How very dare she! (we get your Catherine Tate Programme here it is very good)

Just wait till she tries to ride you after Christmas then give a big grunt and stagger a bit this is what I do when my Wortel lady has had too many oliebolle's or bitterbollen he he he!

Groetjes and may you enjoy many Wortels.

Vardi

Dear Vardi,

thank you very much for your kind carrot wishes! I like your suggestion, and I think I will implement it, unless, of course, I get some shortbread again, or she brings me some of that Lebkuchen stuff she goes on about.
